RANGE REGIONAL AIRPORT
Project Background:
ARI’s Interior Designers focused on incorporating materials to tell the story of the iron range to all who travel to and from here. The exterior of the building is clad with a combination of metal panels that mimic the feel of steel and natural taconite stone collected from local mining sites. As you enter the interior of the building, you are welcomed by a floor pattern designed to represent the iron ore mines, the cool blue waters of the summer, and the ice and snow that covers our land during the winter months.
Interior finish selections were based on our natural environment which includes glass with green blades of grass, natural wood, metallic tiles, and exposed steel columns.
