Interior Educational Spaces and Exterior Updates at Franklin Middle School
With the completion of the space adequacy and educational assessment, ARI determined with the District to remodel and update the interior educational spaces and provide community connection along with a stronger, more vibrant public image to the exterior.
Creating a secure entry and student commons space provided an opportunity to give middle school students a safe space to wait during after-school hours and space to provide learning opportunities during the school day. An increase in the size of the cafeteria allowed for the integration of booth seating, high-top counters, and small tables which provide students with seating options.
In addition, science rooms were remodeled to meet the needs of today’s project-based learning styles and technology needs with the integration of flexible furniture and updated interior finishes.
