Cook County Schools District Improvement Projects
Using previous educational facility design experience, ARI developed a design to improve educational delivery in Industrial Arts, provide space for improved teaching technologies, and space to encourage future expansion as technology improves. Space was added to the program to accommodate additional and more advanced welding curriculum, as well as additional integration of digital technology including 3D printers, digital design, laser engravers, and vinyl cutters.
Additionally, the district renovated a portion of the science space/labs from 1962, converting the the1950s era “home economics classroom” to a commercial grade culinary arts space that functions as a FACS lab, higher level culinary classroom, catering kitchen for students and higher education program operated in conjunction with a local college.
