Project Background:

The UMD Medical School – 1st Floor Classroom Remodel is a 4,570 SF remodel consisting of demolition of 7 existing rooms and providing 6 new rooms. Where there was once 2 smaller lecture rooms with ancillary spaces there is now:

• Large lecture room

• 2 small group rooms

• Conference room

• Student lounge

 

The new lecture room / classroom now holds a maximum of 86 students. This remodel also updates some of the technical abilities within the rooms. A lecture in the classroom may now be streamed to other UMD facilities.
