The Eveleth-Gilbert and Virginia Public School Districts worked together to consolidate in order to receive IRRRB funding and provide the students in the Districts with better facilities and educational opportunities.

ARI was contracted to design the elementary schools for the Rock Ridge School District, along with Cuningham Architects.  The elementary school located in Eveleth is substantially complete (February 2022), and the elementary school in Virginia is currently in the design process.  The designs of these facilities are modern and innovative — including indoor playgrounds that lend themselves to the harsh MN winters and flexible learning areas.  Play and movement are the central focus of these educational facilities.
